Ten Thousand Villages Benefit DayNovember 8th, 2011
Sunday, November 13, is First Mennonite Church's "Benefit Day" at Ten Thousand Villages in Lincoln's Haymarket and we want to help Foster Care Closet.
Yams and Stuffing CollectionNovember 8th, 2011
First Mennonite Church is collecting canned yams and boxes of stuffing mix for People's City Mission to distribute to needy families, along with turkeys and other Thanksgiving food items. Our goal is 300 of each. As of November 8 we have received: Yams: 115 Stuffing 145 Deadline is Sunday, November 13.

Mission Offering - Our final Mission Offering for 2010 will be received on Sunday, December 5. Because 2010 offerings have been lower than planned, Leadership Board has agreed to use this offering as a way of closing the gap so that we can meet our commitments to increased support of Mennonite Central Committee, People's City Mission, City Impact, Mennonite Mission Network, Habitat for Humanity, and other causes.
