SRIPRAKASH MAYASANDRA is our guest speaker this
morning. We welcome him back to First Mennonite Church. Sri is serving as Mennonite Central
Committee (MCC) Asia Regional Peace Networker, based in his home city, Pune, India. He previously worked for MCC in Jerusalem and Damascus,
Syria. In addition to his work with MCC, Sri is
Volunteer Coordinator with Deep Griha Society, an organization working to
better the lives of people living in the slums of Pune.

ROTH/ ARENS SHOWER TODAY - To celebrate the upcoming wedding of Tisha
Roth and Steven Arens, we will have a grocery shower today following the
potluck lunch. Please join us for this
special event.

POTLUCK
MEAL TODAY - We invite you to stay today for lunch. There is always plenty of food, so please
join us.
FOSTER CARE CLOSET - Outreach Commission is collecting
clothes and school supplies for the Foster Care Closet. New or used clothes in good condition for
children through age 19 are needed.
Age appropriate clothes for teens are often in especially short
supply. Donations may be placed under
the Economic Justice table in the Fellowship Hall. Leigh Esau will visit us on Sunday, July
25. We hope to have a good collection
of clothes to send with her. School
supplies are needed by Sunday, August 8.
BULLETIN
ANNOUNCEMENTS BY WEDNESDAY - Please have all items for next Sunday's bulletin
turned into Mary Cooney by this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. For
this week only she will be typing the bulletin on Wednesday evening rather
than on Friday.
BIRTHDAY OFFERING - If you have a birthday or anniversary
during the month of July you are invited to come forward and donate to the
work of Mennonite Central Committee's Global Family Program in Calcutta, India.
SHARON
KENNEL - Our special speaker next Sunday will be our Conference Minister,
Sharon Kennel. Sharon is retiring after serving with
Central Plains Mennonite Conference for its first ten years.
PASTOR DAVID ORR is on vacation. He and Sharon are spending time with family
and attending his nephew's wedding in Ohio. David will return on July 24. Contact our congregational chairperson,
David Breckbill, with any needs during his absence.
PARENT-CHILD DEDICATION - This will be held on Sunday,
July 25 for Kirsten Rocole, Kollyns Hohensee, and Sadie Waegli. Other parents wishing to participate with
their children should contact David Orr.
BAKE SALE
- Claire Wiebe is hosting a bake sale at the church on Saturday, July 24, 1:00-5:00 p.m. to benefit Heifer
International. Stop by to pick up
something good to eat and support a great project.
SUMMER AFTERNOONS - High School youth will next meet
at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
July 28 for mini-golf at Adventure Golf (S 56th St. just south of Old Cheney Rd.). Save the date!
MISSION TRAVEL FUND - Designated contributions to the
mission travel fund will help cover the cost of Sara Brubacher's
travel.
