BOB SHANKLAND - Thanks to everyone for thoughts, prayers,
and expressions of sympathy on the passing of Bob (Shank) Shankland. A celebration of life will be held at
First Mennonite Church on Monday, April 5, at 7:00 p.m.
DAVID ORR - Pastor David will be participating in the
Central Plains Mennonite Conference Pastors Retreat next weekend. Gordon Brubacher will be preaching on
Sunday.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER MEDIATOR - Help bring about
reconciliation, healing, and restoration.
Lancaster County Juvenile Offender and Victim Mediation needs
volunteer mediators. The program
conducts face-to-face dialogues between juvenile offenders and their
victims. Volunteers will receive
Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution approved basic mediation training
(regularly an $850 course) free of charge. Information and applications are available online at: www.hsfed.org/community-information.php. For more information check with David Orr

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - Saturday, April 24th will be
Yardwork and Landscaping Day at the church. Spring is the time to
divide your hostas and daylillies. If you have extras, please donate
them to the church. We can use
them!! The workday will start at 9:00. There are lots of things
to do so please come to help. Please bring gloves, shovels, trimmers,
etc. if you have them. Let Holly or Robbyn know if you have questions
and will be able to help. Thank you.

BIRTHDAY OFFERING NEXT SUNDAY - Next Sunday we will
celebrate all the April birthdays and anniversaries. Those celebrating in April will be invited
to contribute to the birthday offering during the worship service which is
used to support three students in India.
