AN ALL-CHURCH BBQ THIS THURSDAY - Everyone is invited to a barbeque on Thursday at 6:00-ish at church. Bring something to grill, something to share and something to sit on. Drinks are provided. We will eat, have fun and celebrate another great Vacation Bible School. We hope everyone can come!!! |
BOOK OF ACTS CHALLENGE - You are encouraged to read the book of Acts by Thursday of this week. Kids and adults can accept this challenge. We will have a "Jeopardy-style" competition with kids versus adults at the Thursday night BBQ at church. It will be fun for spectators and participants both. |
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - Don't forget Bible School this Wednesday and Thursday, July 15 & 16. See Tammy Riedel if you have questions. |
YOUTH CONVENTION SUNDAY - Today the Senior High Youth will share with us about their trip to the convention in Columbus, OH. Our pastor, David Orr, is on sabbatical and will return in early August. |
NEXT SUNDAY - Our worship service will feature music, both old and new. Come for a time of music and inspiration. |
WOMEN'S ACTIVITIES - Women's Fellowship Committee will be meeting on Monday, July 20, at 7:00 p.m. at the church. We will be planning activities for the fall. If anyone would like to join us or offer ideas, let Wanda Stauffer know. |
BIRTHDAY OFFERING TODAY - If you have a birthday or anniversary in the month of July, you are invited to contribute to the special offering during today's worship service. All the money is used to support the education of Krishnendu, Payel and Suraj, three students in India. |
ELATION PERFORMING "GODSPELL" - The music group ELATION of St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Mesquite, Texas, will present the musical "GODSPELL" at First United Methodist Church of Lincoln, Nebraska on Monday July 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm. First United Methodist Church of Lincoln is located at 2723 North 50th Street in Lincoln. Admission is free. |
