BABY SHOWER - A baby shower for Bill and Katie Boyd, and baby Zachary will be held at First Mennonite Church next Sunday, June 28, after the taco bar lunch.  One gift suggestion is clothes for an older infant/toddler.  Mark your calendar and join us for the celebration!

GIFTS FORMS BY TODAY - We want your input.  Please return the gifts discernment form that was in your mailbox.  Tell us where you might like to serve or who you would recommend from our congregation.  Return them to Becky Waegli, Gerry Cooney, or Rick Stauffer by today or ASAP.  Thanks.

TACO BAR NEXT SUNDAY! - Instead of the monthly potluck, the youth group will host a taco bar fundraiser for their trip to the Mennonite Youth Convention in Columbus, OH.  Free-will donations will be accepted.  The Taco Bar will be followed by the Boyd Baby Shower.

YOUTH GROUP UPDATES FROM COLUMBUS - The Senior High youth group will be traveling to Columbus, OH for the Mennonite Youth Convention on June 30 to July 5.  If you would like to receive a daily update about the group's experience, email heidihochstetler<AT>gmail<D0T>com to get on the email list!

WIEBE'S JULY FOURTH BLOW-UP - You are all invited to a July 4th party at David and Kendra's house, at 6:00 p.m.  Bring something to grill, something to share, and something to sit on.  If you want, you can also bring something to blow up (David will be happy to blow it up for you).  After it gets dark, the Country Club will give us a great fireworks show.

SIGN UP FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL - Look for the GREEN sign-up sheet on a table in the Fellowship Hall if you would like to help out with teaching Sunday School this summer.  All the materials and instructions are provided and there are many openings to choose from. Thank you to those who have already taught or have signed up for a future Sunday. The children of FMC thank you!!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - Don't forget Bible School on Wednesday and Thursday, July 15 & 16.  See Tammy Riedel if you have questions.

IN CONCERT - The Gospel Echoes Northwest Crossroads Team will be at East Fairview Mennonite Church in Milford on Wednesday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m.  This team ministers to churches and prisons throughout the Northwest, along with a two to three week tour in this region.  They will bless and encourage you with their music and testimony.

DO YOU HAVE 1 HOUR A WEEK?? - You can be a Book Buddy or a R.E.A.L. reading tutor to City Impact youth.  This summer for 5 weeks, beginning the week of June 22, you can read with kids and help them improve their reading skills.  It only takes 1 hour, 1 morning a week.  Anyone can volunteer.  Children under the age of 16 can come with an adult. Go to cityimpact.org for a volunteer application/sign-up form.

ELATION PERFORMING "GODSPELL" - The music group ELATION of St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Mesquite, Texas, will present the musical "GODSPELL" at First United Methodist Church of Lincoln, Nebraska on Monday July 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm.  First United Methodist Church of Lincoln is located at 2723 North 50th Street in Lincoln.  Admission is free.
