SABBATICAL SPEAKERS - Next Sunday, we will have several speakers reflecting on "Fathers". Our pastor, David Orr, is on sabbatical and will return in early August. |
BABY SHOWER - A baby shower for Bill and Katie Boyd, and baby Zachary will be held at First Mennonite Church on Sunday, June 28, after the potluck lunch. One gift suggestion is clothes for an older infant/toddler. Mark your calendar and join us for the celebration! |
POTLUCK ON JUNE 28 - There is no potluck lunch next Sunday. Our June potluck meal will be on Sunday, June 28 rather than the usual third Sunday of the month. The meal will be followed by the Boyd's baby shower. |
EAT RIBS & SUPPORT CITY IMPACT - Join City Impact and award-winning Phat Jack's BBQ for a great family time today 12-7 p.m., at Holmes Lake Park, at the shelter next to the playground. Proceeds will benefit City Impact's programs for youth. See the entry bulletin board for prices. |
BRING YOUR STUFF FOR OUR GARAGE SALE - As you spring clean, save all your extra stuff for the FMC Garage Sale. It will be held on Saturday, June 27 at First Mennonite Church. Donated items can be dropped off at church starting one week before the sale. Please be sure to price them yourselves before you drop them off. We need your help to donate garage sale items, bring baked goods, and volunteer at the sale. The proceeds will go to the landscaping and playground projects. |
SIGN UP FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL - Look for the GREEN sign-up sheet on a table in the Fellowship Hall if you would like to help out with teaching Sunday School this summer. All the materials and instructions are provided and there are many openings to choose from. Thank you to those who have already taught or have signed up for a future Sunday. The children of FMC thank you!! |
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - Don't forget Bible School on Wednesday and Thursday, July 15 & 16. See Tammy Riedel if you have questions. |
WHAT ARE YOUR GIFTS? - Please take some time to fill out the gifts discernment form that was in your mailbox. Tell us where you might like to serve or who you would recommend from our congregation. Return them to Becky Waegli, Gerry Cooney, or Rick Stauffer by next Sunday, June 21. |
IN CONCERT - The Gospel Echoes Northwest Crossroads Team will be at East Fairview Mennonite Church in Milford on Wednesday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m. This team ministers to churches and prisons throughout the Northwest, along with a two to three week tour in this region. They will bless and encourage you with their music and testimony. |
BIRTHDAY OFFERING TODAY - We will celebrate all the June birthdays and anniversaries today. If you have a special day this month, you are invited to give to the birthday offering during today's worship service. All the money is sent to three students in India to support them in their education. |
DO YOU HAVE 1 HOUR A WEEK?? - You can be a Book Buddy or a R.E.A.L. reading tutor to City Impact youth. This summer for 5 weeks, beginning the week of June 22, you can read with kids and help them improve their reading skills. It only takes 1 hour, 1 morning a week. Anyone can volunteer. Children under the age of 16 can come with an adult. Go to cityimpact.org for a volunteer application/sign-up form. Sign up soon for your choice of mornings. |
