TO SHARE AND PRAY - A new Adult Sunday School class focusing on sharing and prayer is meeting in classroom #8.  If you are interested in visiting the class or attending regularly, please stop on by.  All are welcome.

COME FOR LUNCH - Women, you are invited to our monthly women's lunch this Thursday, February 12 at 12:00 p.m. at Applebee's (1133 Q Street).  There is no agenda, just good food and conversation.

SPECIAL BUILDING OFFERINGS - These offerings give us an opportunity to give thanks to God for our successful building program, to celebrate the growth of our congregation, and to work together to pay off our mortgage.  The first building offering will be held on Sunday, March 1.  Gifts designated "building fund" may be made through regular Sunday offerings at any time.

FMC COLLEGE GROUP - Meet for fellowship and thought provoking conversation.  Come to the new FMC College Group at the UNL Nebraska Union on Monday evenings at 9:00 p.m.  Bring your friends!  The group will meet near the Caffina Café.

BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY OFFERING - Unless you go to Calcutta, India, you will probably never meet Krishnendu, Payel, and Suraj but the money you donate is changing their futures by making their education possible.  All who observe birthdays and anniversaries in February are invited to celebrate life and love by contributing to the Global Family Program this morning.

SHALOM READERS - It's not too late!  Kids, you can still be part of the Shalom Readers Club.  Everyone ages 4 to 14 can read seven great books and earn a free gift book, too.  Just choose seven books from the Shalom Readers list and start reading.  See Nancy Peters with your questions.

INVITATION FROM PASTOR MARTENS - I welcome you to travel with me to Oberammergau, Germany for the world-famous Passion Play June 16-25, 2010. We will also visit Austria and Switzerland. Contact me for trip information at 402-723-4565 or visit www.mainstaycomm.net\bethesda for a brochure and registration form.     - Weldon Martens, Pastor, Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, NE.

TOP CHILDREN'S BOOKS - In this issue of Check It Out from the Conference Resource Library, you will find some of our best and newest children's books which we suggest for use in a congregational setting.  Discover ideas for children's story in worship, for supporting a Sunday School lesson or for sharing between parent and child.  Visit our website for listings from previous issues:  www.mennowdc.org/ArchiveLibrary.com.

BRING THOSE PENNIES! - Start bringing your extra coins now to put in our big coin jar.  All the money will be taken to the MCC sale in Aurora this spring.  Let's see how high we can fill the coin jar!

HESSTON CENTENNIAL COOKBOOK - All Hesston College alumni and friends are invited to submit recipes for the Centennial Cookbook as a part of the college's "Living The Vision" Centennial Celebration during 2009-10.  Recipes can be submitted until March 31 on-line at http://cookbook.hesston.edu or mailed to: Centennial Cookbook, Hesston College, Box 3000, Hesston, KS  67062. More information is available at www.hesston.edu/centennial. Cookbooks will be available for purchase during Homecoming 2009, September 25-27.

POTLUCK NEXT SUNDAY - We will have a potluck dinner immediately after next Sunday's worship service.  Please bring a main dish and a salad or dessert and stay for this time of food and fellowship.
