BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT -
Announcing the birth of Levi Benjamin Schlegel, born to Peter and Mindy
Schlegel on Monday, January 26. Levi
weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 19 inches long.
Congratulations to parents, big sister Naomi, and the rest of the
Schlegel family.

NEBRASKA MENNONITE
WOMEN'S RETREAT - Women, you are invited to the 19th Annual All
Night Nebraska Women's Retreat on March 7th and 8th in
Aurora, Nebraska. There will be time
for conversation, Bible study, swimming, snacking, gym and just
relaxing. See the registration
information on the church bulletin board.
Registration forms are due as soon as possible.

BAPTISM CLASS
TODAY - The Baptism Exploration Group will meet today at 12:30 p.m. at
church.
|
|
|
|
BUILDING OFFERING - At the end of 2008 our construction
loan converted to a long-term mortgage loan with a balance of $141,979. To repay Mennonite Mutual Aid, we will
need to make monthly payments of $1,100.76.
Paying off the mortgage in less than 20 years will require larger
payments.
The 2009 budget, adopted at our January 14 congregational
meeting, includes $500 per month for loan payments. It was agreed that designated offerings would be used to cover
the remaining $600 per month and, if possible, to make accelerated principal
payments.
Special quarterly building offerings will be held to keep
us aware of this need and to provide a specific occasion to receive
gifts. Contributions designated
"building fund" are invited and may be made at any time.
Prayerfully prepare for the first special building fund
offering which will be held on Sunday, March 1.
FMC COLLEGE GROUP - Meet for fellowship and thought-
provoking conversation. Come to the
new FMC College Group in the food court of the UNL Nebraska Union on Monday
evenings at 9:00 p.m. Bring your
friends! This group will take the
place of the College Age Sunday School class.

SHALOM READERS - It's not too late! Kids, you can still be part of the Shalom
Readers Club. Everyone ages 4 to 14
can read seven great books and earn a free gift book, too. Just choose seven books from the Shalom

celebrate all the February birthdays and anniversaries by taking a special
offering during the worship service.

ANNUAL MEETING AND WORSHIP SERVICE - Everyone is welcome to join us at
Albuquerque Mennonite Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico for our annual
meeting and worship service on Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. The
program will focus on our continuing work in New Orleans, LA.
