Kadin's Peace Essay

Kadin Haake read his peace essay during the January 8 worship service.

I'm Kadin. I'm a 9 year old boy in 4th grade. I'm a unusual boy that doesn't take any concern in sports yet I'm very concerned in war.

I think that we are lucky if we have a house with four rooms, a house without a dirt floor, and a house with running water. I also think that I'm lucky to have that stuff.

The only thing I really want is a monkey, and world peace, mostly world peace.

You see, I think that if we keep fighting the world will be destroyed.

The reason I think this is because I had a dream once that there was no grass, all dirt, full of gullies with merciless people in them. We were fighting for water and if we drank it we would die from radiation poisoning. Every building or house was either on fire or in ashes and when I woke up, I realized that it could happen, I realized that it will happen if we don't stop war.
