As a student activist, I know how hard it can be to start something on your own. So, after becoming involved with the Coalition for Peace, I decided to start a high school activism group to help mobilize students in Lincoln. About a month ago we had our first meeting, with 3 students from Lincoln East, and 2 from Lincoln High. It was small, but it was a start.

Ideally, the group would include students from all high schools in Lincoln, and would serve as a sort of networking system between schools. For anyone interested, we will be meeting this Wednesday after the Coalition's weekly peace vigil from 5-6pm at 15th and O streets.

Anyone and everyone is invited to attend, so help us make this a successful group! If we all encourage just one more person to get involved, I know we can do something truly great.
