I am not into talking or debating politics. I am however interested in peace, peaceful resolutions and communicating about the human experience.
Starry Night is one of the first poems I ever wrote. I was simply frustrated and upset at some of the things I saw going on in this world. It's a wake up call and an effort to get man to see the bigger picture. Sometimes you have to keep repeating things for people to get it.
Starry Night
Starry night
full of color
full of hopes
and anticipations
been through
each and every generation
to see the day
that soon will come
when life will smile
on everyone
to give the word
that will be heard
throughout the lands
throughout the seas
it will fly on the wind
through the trees
straight to the soul
in human bodies
the stars will see
see the night
when love will flourish
into sight
releasing the souls
of eternal life
who have seen the wrong
who from the beginning of time
have sung this songWar, destruction
the world is at stake
mind corruption
you’re in a dormant statewake up people
you’re on your way
to the dooms
the dooms daywhen you will cry
come cryin to me
telling me that you’ve got
nobody
cry cry cry
you don’t care
about anything
going on anywhereWe come knocking
knocking at your door
we ask for awareness
and nothing moreall you say
is that you wish us well
go back to sleep
and lock yourself
in your shellwatch your television
drink your beer
while the rest of the world
lives in fearfear that there’s more
of you out there
in your new Lazy Boys
who just don’t careWar, injustice, air pollution
human rights
get few contributions
you out there
in your limousine
sipin crystal
enjoying the seen
bragging about
your expensive
thneeds
while the poor man
on his knees
he bleedson the day we treat each other with decency
on the day we can truly trust one another
there will be peaceI’m here to say
say one thing
that my words
my words
are more than a dream
it’s not so hard
to see what I mean
just come together
and form the scream
that will
shock
shock the night
and bring the stars
back into sight
