Adult Classes

Three adult Sunday School classes will meet during the Winter 2010-2011 quarter at 9:30 each Sunday morning.

Adult Bible Study Class - Assuring Hope is the title of the winter edition of Adult Bible Study Quarterly published by Faith and Life Resources. The focus will be on the promises of hope found in the words of the prophet Isaiah and the hope found in Jesus Christ, the suffering servant.  The class will study passages from Isaiah and Mark.

Elective Class - Old Testament Questions

The Elective Class will be holding an informal discussion of questions about the Old Testament.  Dr. Gordon Brubacher will be resource person for the group.  During December the classes will look at traditional Advent passages.

Gordon Brubacher is Resident Assistant Professor of scripture in the Creighton University Department of Theology.

Women's Class

The Women's Class will be discussing The Parables of Dr. Seuss by Robert Short.  Short looks at spirituality in the stories of children s book author and illustrator Theodore Dr. Seuss Giesel, arguing that Giesel was a first-class Christian thinker. The book explores Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and others.
